Our Story

Our story began with a wild vision of "what if" and it started with our name. SONKO is a very special word meaning "heart" in the ancient Quechua language of Peru. Heart is exactly what we needed to start this minimalistic aesthetic space designed to make any beauty dreams come true! We are considered a small business in the heart of NW Arkansas with only four booth rental chairs but we aim to be FULL of services that showcase each stylists' specialty and talent.

SONKO Beauty Bar....

... is dedicated to Esther, a loving mother, wife, and talented cosmetologists. Her story is what inspired SONKO today and we hope to share the energy of the immense love and laughs she gave to anyone crossing her path. These qualities will carry on.... forever.
